The Horse Store & More opened it’s doors in January 2007. Owners Mike and Donna decided that Chico and Butte County in general, needed a good all around tack and Western Wear Store. 
Donna has been around horses all her life, and was a 4-H horse leader while her kids were in 4-H. Her daughter Jen is one of the key employees at the store. Mike is always behind the counter, and Brandy, is the local cowgirl, and BLM Mustang expert.
Having horses was an added advantage to building the inventory for the store. If you can’t find it, they will make sure you get it.
Chico is a nice rural community surrounded by a great agricultural history. Being a part of this community is important to the family at this store. You will always see their name sponsoring a 4-H event, Jr. Rodeo, CSHA, CGA, Sheriff’s Posse, and just about any horse events.
You are always greeted when you walk into the store, and you can find a treat on the counter and a chair to sit and chat. The family and staff are there to help you when you need it. Even horses are welcome at the store to get fitted for the right saddle.
There’s usually over 100 saddles to choose from between consigned and new. Special orders are no problem.
Come on by. Check out the model horse out front. That’s “Dupont”, you’ll never know what he’s going to be modeling.
